Brev til min værtsfamilie

Mit brev til værtsfamilien:

Dear hostfamily
I would really like to try a year in USA, because i want to try something, which is new and more different than i am used to, and of course for improving my English. In my leisure I have sing lessons, I run and being with my friends. I specially like taking pictures with my camera and watch movies.
A normal day for me starts at 6:45 am, where I wake up and get ready for school. When the weather is good in spring, summer and fall I cycle to school(4 km), but in the winter season and on rainy days I take the bus, and if I am lucky, my mother or father drives me. Do I take the yellow school bus, when I am staying with you?
After school I go home, or do something with my friends. My family and I eat together at 6 or 7 pm. After I have been eating, I do my homework. I go to bed at 10-11 pm. Do you eat together at the table? Or do you eat while watching TV? Or something else? How many are you in your family, and do you get another exchange student to live with you?
In the weekends I sleep with friends, and we go to bed very late.
My school is a private school with 550 students and it starts at 8 am. I have different subjects everyday, which means that a monday can be like this: English in 90 minutes with no breaks, and then I have a break for 30 minutes, then math in 90 minutes, break in 30 minutes, physics in 90 minutes and danish in 45 minutes. That's how all the days look, but with different subjects. Do you live far away from the high school?
We can't choose courses at my school, but we can choose chinese lessons after school. The subjects I like the most are Danish, English and social science.
My house is white and in two levels. Downstairs we have an utility room, kitchen, living room, my parents bedroom, a bathroom and a room where the staircase is placed. Upstairs we have my room, my brothers room, my mothers office, my fathers office, a bathroom and a living room. I study in the kitchen, because there's a lot of space. Do I get my own room? If not, who am I going to share room with?
I don't like big dogs, insects(specially not spiders) and I almost like all kind of food except rice, milk and beans. I like fast food, but i don't want to eat it often.
I dislike people who are selfish and think they're better than other people. My strong characteristics are that I am always happy and good to cooperate. My weaknesses are that I am a little shy, specially if I have to speak in front of a lot of people. But that is one of the things i want to overcome at the staying. I can also be a bit of an untidy person concerning my room.
When I return from USA, I start at a high school in Denmark, where I'm going to choose the IB classes (international), because I want to maintain the English language. I hope to meet nice people in USA, that I can keep in touch with for the rest of my life, especially you. I hope to experience a different culture, try new sports like cross training, get good grades in school, and just have an unforgettable year.
I really look forward to meet you.

Many regards from Stine
